The JOURNALS PROJECT is working to change this... by supplying recent issues of professional, technical and scientific journals to libraries and institutions in African countries where they wouldn't otherwise be available.
To provide support, and contact with a wider intellectual community,
for professionally and technically trained Africans working in
their own countries - by giving them access to recent editions
of relevant journals.
We are aiming to send 1000 journals a year - but the more the better…
Since the project is quite new, we are focusing initially on sending journals to Ethiopia, where an existing system of distribution ensures that the journals go where they are needed most.
